Five Players Whose Price Is About to Increase Following the 2022 FIFA World Cup

The last week of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar is about to begin and only four games remain to be played, three of which will determine the new (or old) champions of the world.

The world has seen plenty of great football, plenty of superb team and individual performances over the last month, and as it s always the case, they are sure to have an impact on the transfer market over the next couple of windows. There are clubs who need their squads rejuvenated, others need to rebuild theirs for other reasons. Some just need to increase depths in certain areas, but one thing appears certain there will be a lot of business done in the summer at least, possibly even in January.

Unfortunately for the clubs targeting younger, up-and-coming players, many of those have had an excelle…

The preseason continues this weekend, and on Friday night the Houston Texans will visit the defending Super Bowl champions, the L.A. Rams.

The Rams took down their crosstown rival Los Angeles Changers 29-22 in Week 1, while the Texans took down the New Orleans Saints 17-13.

Which team will move to 2-0 in the preseason?

C.J. Stroud vs Bryce Young Prop Picks: Which Rookie QB Will Come Out on Top?

Every generation of NFL quarterback is connected by his draft class.

John Elway’s success will always haunt 1983 classmates Jim Kelly and Dan Marino. Baker Mayfield and Sam Darnold will someday be answers to a trivia question about which QBs were drafted before Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson in 2018. And Joe Burrow and Justin Herbert are currently carving out their legacy against the rest of the 2020 draft pack.

Bryce Young and C.J. Stroud are the latest pro passers connected and contrasted due to their selection in the 2023 NFL Draft.

Young, the 2021 Heisman Trophy winner out of Alabama, was selected No. 1 overall by the Carolina Panthers, who traded up with the Chicago Bears for the first overall pick. Stroud, an instant star at f…

Bears vs Saints Odds, Picks, and Predictions Week 9: New Orleans' Offense Centers Around Kamara

The Chicago Bears head to The Big Easy to take on the New Orleans Saints this Sunday. In the Week 9 odds, the Bears will try to bounce back from an ugly loss on the road to the Chargers, while the Saints aim to build on a road victory against the Colts last week.

NFL odds opened with the Saints as 7.5-point favorites for this contest before moving to -8.5. Here are my best free NFL picks for Bears vs. Saints on November 5.

Bears vs Saints odds

Bears vs Saints predictions

While the Chicago Bears have one of the worst overall defenses in the NFL, they’ve surprisingly been phenomenal against the run. The Bears rank third in defensive rush EPA and success rate while holding opponents to a league-low 3.3 yards per ca…

Rams vs Bears Picks, Predictions, and Best Bets: Williams Lets Fly vs LA

While it’s been a less-than-ideal start for Caleb Williams’ NFL career, he’s got a favorable matchup on Sunday vs. a vulnerable Los Angeles Rams secondary.

With a chance to get back to .500, my Rams vs. Colts predictions believe Williams is sitting on a big passing game.

Find out more in my NFL picks for Sunday, September 29.

Rams vs Bears prediction

My best betCaleb Williams Over 224.5 passing yards (-115 at BetMGM)

My analysis

While it hasn’t exactly been pretty, Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams has now thrown for more yards and a higher yards per attempt in consecutive games after airing it out for a monster 363 yards and 7.0 YPA against Indianapolis in Week 3.

Now, the first overa…

Frank confident Brentford will find clinical edge without Toney

Thomas Frank is confident that Brentford can find their clinical edge without Ivan Toney as they welcome Southampton to the Gtech Community Stadium this Saturday.

The Bees were involved in EFL Cup action on Wednesday, narrowly beating League Two side Colchester United courtesy of Keane Lewis-Potter’s first-half strike.

But without the presence of club-record top scorer Ivan Toney against Liverpool, Frank’s side struggled in the attacking areas and were well beaten at Anfield.

However, the Brentford head coach is excited by his new signings and acknowledged it would take time to adapt to his style of play, also confirming Toney would not be available for the fixture.

We played three average-plus games. Definitely still players growing into it. We stil…

Barella inspired by Spain greats ahead of Euro 2020 showdown

Spain greats Xavi and Andres Iniesta are inspirational figures for Italy s Nicolo Barella, although the Azzurri midfielder does not try to replicate their skill sets.

Barcelona legends Xavi and Iniesta formed a key part of the Spain side that won Euro 2008 and Euro 2012 – in which they thrashed Italy in the final – either side of lifting the 2010 World Cup.

While the Barca duo were more renowned for their creativity than goalscoring exploits, albeit Iniesta got the crucial strike in Spain s World Cup triumph in South Africa, Barella has established himself as a real goal threat for both Inter and Italy.

Indeed, the former Cagliari man opened the scoring in Italy s 2-1 quarter-final win over Belgium with a fantastic finish, teed up by some excellent footwo…
